This document describes a study that proposes a fuzzy logic controller for tracking the maximum power point of a photovoltaic system under different conditions. A MATLAB/Simulink model is developed that includes a PV panel, boost converter, and fuzzy logic-based MPPT algorithm. The fuzzy controller is shown to successfully track the MPP under uniform irradiation, sudden changes in irradiation, and partial shading conditions. Simulation results demonstrate the advantages of the fuzzy logic approach over conventional MPPT methods.
