Case Study: Waste Reduction Success
• During a monthly meeting reviewing trends of hazardous waste
shipments, we noticed an increase in waste generation
bordering non-compliance with generator status
• Further broke out the waste generation by profile
• Determined technical factors for the waste determination
• Worked with lab groups to alter the waste generation process to
generate smaller amounts of hazardous waste
