Why IS MTS Better?
 MTS9440, MTS9356, MTS9265
 Use “dot” (●)Vs. “pixel”(■) resolution
 “pixel” shows more edge and “dot” has much smoother edge and
thus finer images.
 Direct Analog signal input
 Loss no data during analog to digital transition
 Receive video image in native resolution
 No need of re-scaling and thus no loss of data
 Native camera resolutions:
 320 (RGB) x 234 or 960 x 234, 400 (RGB) x 234
 High impedance (75 Ω) loop through
 Rugged19” Rack mount standard with tilting options
 SMPTE video image quality
 MTS9284, MTS9150, MTS9170, MTS9170-8U
 Frame Buffering:
 Reduce ripple, vertical, and horizontal video noise
 Increase color saturation
 Excellent Mitsutech video scaling software plus MXIC
scaling IC Chip
 Philip 714 video decoder
 Multiple input options: Analog VGA, Composite Video,
and S-video
 User friendly OSD menu
 Easy to use hot key control
 High impedance (75 Ω) loop through
 Rugged 19” Rack mount standard with tilting options
 Deinterlaced: Remove interlacing lines from an image
taken from a video source. This is the process of creating
a single frame from the two interlaced fields of a video
frame. While interlaced video can look much better on a
TV screen, on a monitor it can look rather bad.

Enterprises
Residential:
 What customers are looking for:
comfort and safety in their own home.
 Requirements include:
intelligent digital video recording solutions,
wireless web-enabled remote control access services,
geographical point-and-click user interface,
live views from the connected camera on a monitor
the ability to search recorded video according to date/time.
 MTS monitors can be installed in a security office monitoring
control room or installed inside and outside of a home for
intercom display systems.
Commercial
Where?
retail,
gaming,
education,
employee/customer safety.
How?
In the case of a restaurant, security cameras are installed throughout all dining,
kitchen and storage areas.
Benefit:
to secure inventory and observe employee activity. This cuts down on theft,
protects against false liability claims and increases employee and customer safety.
 MTS monitors as a monitoring device provides security professionals enormous
control and flexibility over their environment.
Enterprise
 This segment includes:
 Banking, Automotive, fortune 500 corporate office, federal
building and building management companies.
 Needs and expectations:
 Similar to the commercial segment, but frequently on a
larger geographical scale and requiring integration with
data security.
 MTS monitors give high resolution and clear image
quality that does not lose details of crime scenes and
physical features of intruders. MTS is a very
powerful tool for security professionals.
Homeland Security
 Where?
 Sectors such as cargo, ports, border crossings, correctional facilities, courthouses, military
bases, nuclear facilities, embassies, national ports for containers, airports nation's highways
make up this business
 What?
 Demands accurate, reliable inspection and detection.
 In addition, the CCTV industry is now recognizing the benefits of nighttime surveillance. An
IR CCTV system including cameras with lenses that correct focus shifts between IR and visible
light for night security vision may be required in this segment. As law enforcement agencies
and private companies continue to enhance the nation's security infrastructure, systems that
leverage digital scanning technology and monitors that display clean, clear and unambiguous
images are playing a vital role.
 How?
 Many companies have developed a number of systems that leverage digital scanning
technology, i.e. Northrop Grumman’s Perceptics License Plate Reader (LPR), the Container
Code Reader and the Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS). However, without a monitor
that displays equal quality images, one still can’t read the license plate number or the code on
the containers. MTS monitors can be hooked up to these scanning and surveillance devices and
can do auto-recognition of both color and monochrome video images. The supreme series
displays (MTS) deployed by Mitsutech this fall is designed with this in mind to ensure
minimum data loss during the transition. MTS gives you peace of mind when it comes to high
image quality.

True Sunlight Readable
 What constitutes a sunlight readable or outdoor
readable LCD?
 Should be bright enough so that the display is
visible under strong sunlight.
 display contrast ratio must be maintained at 5 to 1
or higher
 display with < 500 nits has a mere 2:1 contrast
ratio in outdoor environments; display with > 1000
nits has a contrast ratio > 5:1.
 What is Luminance?
 is the scientific term for “Photopic Brightness”
 specifies the visual brightness of an object.
 commonly referred to as “brightness”.
 Is specified in candelas per square meter (Cd/m2) or
nits.
 In the US, the British unit Foot-lamberts (fL) is also
frequently used. One fL = 3.426 nits.
 a major determinant of perceived picture quality in an
LCD.
 human mind will react more positively to brightly
illuminated scenes and objects.
What is an Inverter and its dimming range
and why is it important?
 All LCD backlights powered by cold cathode fluorescent
lamps (CCFL) require inverters. An inverter is an electronic
circuit that transforms a DC voltage to an AC voltage, which
drives the CCFLs.
 The dimming range or dimming ratio of an inverter specifies
its capability of performing backlight luminance adjustment.
 Linear Dimming: Dimming range is typically < 10:1. That is, the luminance is
adjusted from 100% down to about 10%.
 It’s used in Note book and desk top LCD monitors
 PWM Dimming: Dimming range can be tuned and is typically at 200:1,
meaning that the luminance can be adjusted from 100% down to 0.5%.
 It’s used in military, avionics, and outdoor displays

Enterprise  This segment includes:  Banking, Automotive, fortune 500 corporate office, federal building and building management companies.  Needs and expectations:  Similar to the commercial segment, but frequently on a larger geographical scale and requiring integration with data security.  MTS monitors give high resolution and clear image quality that does not lose details of crime scenes and physical features of intruders. MTS is a very powerful tool for security professionals.
  • 21. Homeland Security  Where?  Sectors such as cargo, ports, border crossings, correctional facilities, courthouses, military bases, nuclear facilities, embassies, national ports for containers, airports nation's highways make up this business  What?  Demands accurate, reliable inspection and detection.  In addition, the CCTV industry is now recognizing the benefits of nighttime surveillance. An IR CCTV system including cameras with lenses that correct focus shifts between IR and visible light for night security vision may be required in this segment. As law enforcement agencies and private companies continue to enhance the nation's security infrastructure, systems that leverage digital scanning technology and monitors that display clean, clear and unambiguous images are playing a vital role.  How?  Many companies have developed a number of systems that leverage digital scanning technology, i.e. Northrop Grumman’s Perceptics License Plate Reader (LPR), the Container Code Reader and the Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS). However, without a monitor that displays equal quality images, one still can’t read the license plate number or the code on the containers. MTS monitors can be hooked up to these scanning and surveillance devices and can do auto-recognition of both color and monochrome video images. The supreme series displays (MTS) deployed by Mitsutech this fall is designed with this in mind to ensure minimum data loss during the transition. MTS gives you peace of mind when it comes to high image quality.

  • 26. True Sunlight Readable  What constitutes a sunlight readable or outdoor readable LCD?  Should be bright enough so that the display is visible under strong sunlight.  display contrast ratio must be maintained at 5 to 1 or higher  display with < 500 nits has a mere 2:1 contrast ratio in outdoor environments; display with > 1000 nits has a contrast ratio > 5:1.
  • 27.  What is Luminance?  is the scientific term for “Photopic Brightness”  specifies the visual brightness of an object.  commonly referred to as “brightness”.  Is specified in candelas per square meter (Cd/m2) or nits.  In the US, the British unit Foot-lamberts (fL) is also frequently used. One fL = 3.426 nits.  a major determinant of perceived picture quality in an LCD.  human mind will react more positively to brightly illuminated scenes and objects.
  • 28. What is an Inverter and its dimming range and why is it important?  All LCD backlights powered by cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) require inverters. An inverter is an electronic circuit that transforms a DC voltage to an AC voltage, which drives the CCFLs.  The dimming range or dimming ratio of an inverter specifies its capability of performing backlight luminance adjustment.  Linear Dimming: Dimming range is typically < 10:1. That is, the luminance is adjusted from 100% down to about 10%.  It’s used in Note book and desk top LCD monitors  PWM Dimming: Dimming range can be tuned and is typically at 200:1, meaning that the luminance can be adjusted from 100% down to 0.5%.  It’s used in military, avionics, and outdoor displays
