- 2. ● To accomplish our goal, we must inherit the model in numerous circumstances. In this slide we are discussing how we can inherit a model. Let’s Check this with an example: We are going to add a new field Customer’s Phone Number in sale order.
- 3. For that we need to inherit the model sale.order and add the field partner_mobile.
- 4. Then we need to create the view for the field partner_mobile. We are adding the field partner_mobile after the field date_order.
- 5. After creating both the sale.py and sale.xml we need to upgrade the module, then we can see our sale order form with the newly added field.
- 6. Likewise we can inherit the model to extend the functionality or to extend the current features.
