- 2. Enterprise Introduction In this slide, we’ll discuss on how to change sequence number in Odoo 18 Sale Order. In Odoo, sequences are used to generate unique identifiers for records. These identifiers are often displayed as reference numbers, such as invoice numbers, purchase order numbers, or customer numbers.
- 3. Enterprise We can go to the sequences from Technical menu of Settings module.
- 4. Enterprise This shows the list view of all the sequences available in the system.
- 5. Enterprise We can change the sequences of the sale order, for that we can search for sequence sale.
- 6. Enterprise In the form view, we can see the sequence code and the prefix, suffix, sequence size etc.
- 7. Enterprise We can change the Prefix to CYBRO and Suffix using the date values. Under the Legend, we have the code for day, month, year etc.
- 8. Enterprise If we need to know the number of sales order in each month, we can make use of the option to use subsequence per date_range. We can enable that field and add the From date and To date.
- 9. Enterprise After changing the sequence, we can create a quotation in current month. The generated sequence will include the prefix, sequence size, and the date of creation.
- 10. Enterprise We can duplicate this quotation by clicking on the Duplicate from the gear icon.
- 11. Enterprise Now we can see the sequence number is incremented to 2 and this quotation is also in the current month,
- 12. Enterprise Since we have enabled the use subsequence per date_range, we can see if we create a quotation with quotation date in previous month, the sequence number will be starting from 1.
