Theoretical Moodle
Moodle  is a  free software e-learning platform  (also known as a  Course Management System  (CMS), or  Learning Management System  (LMS), or  Virtual Learning Environment  (VLE)). Acronym for:  M odular  O bject- O riented  D ynamic  L earning  E nvironment What is Moodle?
Moodle  was created in 1999 by  Martin Dougiamas , a WebCT administrator at Curtin University, Australia. What is Moodle?

Moodle  can easily be used to: Create, deliver and manage web-based content for courses. Add online elements to traditional courses (to supplement current in-class instruction). Facilitate and deliver completely online courses asynchronously or with limited face-to-face interaction. What is Moodle?
Moodle  can easily be used to: Communicate , real-time and/or asynchronous collaboration and communication tools Assess  integrated quizzes and grade books Manage course/content : upload course materials (audio, video, documents like .doc, .pdf, .ppt files), link to other sites, embed files and resources What is Moodle?
Moodle  can easily be used to: Attach files  for students to download Link to resources  anywhere on the internet Create  interesting classroom environments without learning HTML Easily manage  your course from year to year (never lose your work!) What is Moodle?
Moodle  can easily be used to: Continue your class discussions online Chat  online with students Engage students  in discussions forums Help students  collaborate over the internet , within their groups and within the classroom. What is Moodle?
No programming experience necessary Engage all learning styles Provide multiple methods for learning the same  material Decrease paperwork ( green  solution!) Engage digital natives where they learn best What are the benefits?
