The document presents a comparative analysis of five different filters (median, low pass Butterworth, FIR, weighted moving average, and stationary wavelet transform) for noise cancellation in ECG signals, which are often corrupted by various types of noise during recording. Statistical evaluation of filtering performances demonstrated that the stationary wavelet transform (SWT) is the most effective among the techniques analyzed for removing noise while preserving signal integrity. The findings suggest further research into real-time implementation of these filters in ECG noise reduction.
