Editor's Notes

  • #16: How do you go into a busy room and start a conversation with a stranger? FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The fact that another person shows up at a networking event means that you have something in common. They also might be feeling awkward, stressed, to busy to be there. I used to be chronically shy as a teenager one of the best pieces of advice my first year civics teacher gave me was consider that the other person might be feeling just like you and think about what you can do to make them feel better. If someone is standing by themselves make it easier for them to be included, comfortable etc. If its a new face say hello and be welcoming.
  • #17: The likelihood of doing business with people we do not know is remote! You are invisible and your product is invisible!
