This paper presents a novel high-gain narrowband waveguide-fed filtenna designed using a genetic algorithm. The proposed filtenna operates at a central frequency of 9.45 GHz, has a bandwidth of 1.76% (160 MHz), and achieves a gain of 15.91 dB, significantly improved by the use of two superstrate layers. The design methodology includes solving magnetic field integral equations and optimizing the patterned plane for enhanced performance.
