Watch Video Tutorial: The Most Common Design Mistakes Made by Non-Designers 4. Investigate statistical data from original sources (use links on the project page or find other sources). 5. Choose statistical data and focus the data story you will tell in your infographic. 6. Peer Review Due: Textual Outline and Wireframe. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to post your outline and wireframe. Week 8 Monday 2/25 1. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to respond to a peer’s draft of the Textual Outline and Wireframe. 2. Go to Tools and Resources, decide which tool you will use for the Screencast, and do a test recording. Follow troubleshooting steps, if you encounter technical issues.

Go to Tools and Resources, decide how you will create the Infographic. 3. Create your infographic. 4. Write the design justification script, practice it, and record your screencast. 5. Peer Review: Infographic Due. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to post your infographic. Week 9 Monday 3/4 Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to respond to a peer’s infographic. Tuesday 3/5 1. Write the design justification script, practice it, and record your screencast. 2. Peer Review: Screencast Due. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to post your screencast. Thursday 3/7 Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to respond to a peer’s screencast.
- 3. ENGL 317 Technical Writing Page 3 of 3 Due Date Complete the Following Week 9 continued Sunday 3/10 PROJECT 3 DELIVERABLES DUE. Submit your work as follows: 1. Write a self-evaluation. 2. Infographic: submit as an image (JPEG, PNG, etc. file); PDF. If your file is over 1 MB, compress it. OR post the URL at the top of your self-evaluation if your infographic is on a host site (such as by Visme). 3. Screencast: submit the URL to your screencast at the top of your self-evaluation. 4. To avoid a point penalty, verify your submission. Do not rely solely on bblearn’s confirmation that your work submitted. You need to check that your work submitted correctly. This means you need to go back to the drop box after submitting your work and 1) open your document files, and 2) check that the URL will work by cutting and pasting what you submitted into a browser.
