The OPERANDO project focuses on implementing an innovative privacy enforcement framework that enables Privacy as a Service. It will allow online service providers to comply with privacy laws while profiting legitimately from user data monetization. The framework includes a privacy authority and privacy service providers that enforce users' privacy policies across their online accounts and devices. This gives users control over their data privacy and the ability to participate in data monetization. It also helps regulators audit service providers' compliance. Potential success stories examine addressing issues in social media and government/healthcare privacy protection through a unified privacy dashboard and privacy-for-benefit deals.
