This document discusses corporate and business level strategies as well as operations strategy. At the corporate level, strategies include expansion, stability, defensiveness, and combinations of these. At the business level, strategies are cost leadership, differentiation, focused cost leadership, and focused differentiation. Operations strategy is a long-term plan for production and operations to achieve annual objectives and includes decisions around suppliers, technology, workforce, capacity, and positioning the productive system. Operations strategy should be linked to and support the overall business grand strategy.
