This document discusses the optimization of zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) in the distillery industry through a reverse osmosis (RO) process, utilizing Taguchi's orthogonal array to analyze multi-response parameters. It highlights the significant environmental issues posed by distillery waste, specifically the generation of spent wash, and the importance of optimizing operational parameters like pressure, pH, and oxidation-reduction potential for better water quality. The study aims to improve purification processes while minimizing waste and enhancing the reuse of water in the industry.
