This document discusses personal learning networks (PLNs) and how they are changing learning and education. It provides three key points:
1. PLNs allow learning to become more collaborative, as people can get feedback and advice by sharing their work online with others. This sharing and feedback is becoming a major part of the learning process.
2. Learning is now happening anytime, anywhere, and potentially involving anyone through online networks. Teachers' roles are expanding beyond the classroom as they also participate in online networks.
3. Developing a PLN involves curating information from multiple sources, managing connections with others, and leveraging transparency and diversity in networks to facilitate new types of collaborative learning.
