Personal statement
- 1. Personal Statement My Strengths I am confident to speak to adults, when they approach me, I have learnt to be so confident and approachable because of my job as a waiter. Furthermore I am not hesitant to ask questions if I am unsure of a task I have been set. I am a friendly, polite boy with lots of energy. I am quite a calm person as well and work well in groups of people contributing with good and useful ideas. My Weaknesses I do not have many weaknesses but the ones I do are only minor. For example my eye sight isn’t the best, so I wear glasses or contact lenses. I am not the best of spellers either but I try my best and any word I do not how to spell I can either ask someone or look it up on Google. Furthermore, I do not like public speaking and presenting to a group of people. I would obviously do it if asked by my employer but I am not confident enough to speak really clearly and I normally stumble on my words. Uni Options When I go to university I would like to either do: Photography,Film and Television or Television production. My first option is to do photography. I would like to do photography because I would hopefully get a job at a magazine company and then I would go to the x-games or other smaller snowboarding events to start of and take pictures of the competition. As I am also a snowboarder on my free time I could go snowboarding across the mountain. Skills and Achievements I have had a job at Puccinis Restaurant in Swinton since the age of 15, I got the job by doing work experience in year ten at the restaurant and because I worked hard and impressed the boss I was offered a job to work there. But because of my age I could only do restricted hours, but it was good experience.
