Personalization of the qualification process in competence based  qualification activity, and Tools for personalization plan and development Pekka Ihanainen,  IhaNova Ltd AiHe-project esf-project 2001-2006 organized by National Board of Education aim: to develop the quality and effectiveness of  preparatory training and competence based qualification activity   by personalization result: from a project to a part of acts and everyday activity in  vocational adult  education strategy: development partnership network of education institutions, working life organizations, interest groups (employment administration,  for instance) and project staff development activity: process consultation, expert teams, training, follow- up of time used for counselling in personalization, external develop- mental evaluation and  mutual counselling inside project staff key idea: applicant/qualification demonstrator/adult student is the very subject of her/his life and work career, and she/he has the right to have learned and specialised support

Individualization vs. personalization Individualization (external) arrangements and activities to organize a qualification process according to individual needs and demands Personalization interactive process, in which a qualification working (in application phase, qualification demonstration phase and completing the vocational skills phase) is supported on the basis of qualification demonstrators´ - previous vocational skills - self-knowledge - needs to develop in competence demonstration skills - needs how to plan and implement competence demonstration - needs to develop in study skills - needs how to complete her/his vocational skills
