• #12: Talking Points:Polycom has announced the expansion of voice portfolio for Microsoft Lync in Q4 2011. Polycom’s renowned IP phones, across wireless voice, desktop, and conference room phones, interoperate with Lync. This is done through software upgrade,so if you are using Polycom IP phones and you are switching to Lync for voice platform, you can leverage existing Polycom phones for Lync deployment as well. Also, for new customers, we provide additional choices in terms of design and price points. Additionally, the wireless voice capability, for Wi-Fi or DECT handsets, gives Lync users greater mobility, and these handsets fit perfectly for vertical applications such as retail, manufacturing, and healthcare. This makes Lync deployment in those industry specific environment easier.
