This document describes a project to generate electricity from speed breakers using mechanical energy from passing vehicles. A system is proposed that uses the potential energy of a vehicle going over a speed bump to power a generator via a gear mechanism. Sensors are also used to control road lighting more efficiently. Implementing this at traffic points could generate enough electricity to power streetlights and reduce costs for the government. While the design faces challenges in torque and output, it presents a novel way of producing renewable energy from traffic.
