Mandatory Cost Basis project change required to apply return of capital and undistributed capital gains corporate
actions to cost basis activity for purposes of determining the cost of shares which impacts the gain/loss
calculation. All outstanding lots, as of the record date, receive the adjustment to the basis, however, gain/loss for
debit activity from the current tax reporting year must be re-calculated. Includes reallocations that are applied,
generally in January, for the previous tax year.
Calendaring enhancement project Jan 2011 – Mar 2012
Asset Arena Transfer Agency (AATA) uses Fund level processing calendars to designate days of the week a Fund is
“open for business”. A share (or unit) NAV price was required for each current and past processing day when the
Fund is “open for business”. The price closes out the business day and advances the Fund calendar. Fund Pricing
in AATA was enhanced for Products with periodic pricing or delayed daily pricing due to product characteristics or
global processing timings. A Fund may be “open” on a calendar day but not be priced for that calendar day.
Weekly, monthly, and quarterly priced products, as well as daily products with delayed NAV availability, are now
supported in AATA.
Cost Basis enhancement project Feb 2010 – Dec 2011
Cost basis is an enhancement to AATA product to meet US government mandated Cost Basis Reporting
requirement to expand calculation methodologies as well as shareholder and tax reporting.

• Analyze business requirements to facilitate SDLC process.
• Estimate, prepare and execute test plan/scripts.
• Functional and backend testing for UNIX jobs/batch cycles.

Cobol, on UNIX- AIX box using Oracle database. Web Base frontend converted to Nexaweb-Java.

KVMS – KFD - Document Based Order Processing work flow management system. This system developed for EDS -
Des Moines. EDS has various Clients (publication houses, manufacturers and others) who are selling their products
via various agencies (schools, banks and others) by distributing Order Forms and Product Brochures. Involved
agency later distributes these forms to End Customers for order placement. Filled Order forms are then collected
from end customers and mailed to EDS. At EDS, the order forms are batched and allocated to an operator to
capture order information electronically, then, upload to Client System.
