“EMBEDDED SYSTEMS USING 8051
MICROCONTROLLER”
• The embedded system is a combination of computer
hardware, software additional electrical & mechanical parts
• A computer is used in such devices primarily as a means to
simplify the system design and to provide flexibility.
• Embedded systems employ the use of a RTOS (Real-Time
Operating System).

The 8051 Microcontroller :
• The 8051 is the first
microcontroller of the MCS-51
family introduced by Intel
Corporation at the end of the
1970’s.
• The 8051 family
characteristics:
○ The 8051 family characteristics:
○ 4K Bytes ROM
○ 128 Bytes RAM
○ two timer/counters (16 bit)
○ A serial port
○ 32 input/output port

HOME AUTOMATION USING 8051
MICROCONTROLLER
Home automation (also known as domotics) refers
to the automatic and electronic control of household
features, activity, and appliances. Various control
systems are utilized in this residential extension of
building automation. Some components of an
automated home may include the centralized
control of security locks on doors and gates,
appliances, windows, lighting, surveillance cameras
and HVAC systems

 The µVision IDE from Keil
combines project management,
make facilities, source code
editing, program debugging,
and complete simulation in one
powerful environment. The
µVision development platform
is easy-to-use and helping you
quickly create embedded
programs that work. The
µVision editor and debugger
are integrated in a single
application that provides a
seamless embedded project
development environment.
The power supply circuit comprises of four
basic parts:
The transformer steps down the 220 V a/c.
into 12 V a/c. The transformer work on the
principle of magnetic induction, where two
coils: primary and secondary are wound
around an iron core.

HOW WE MADE OUR PROJECT
HARDWARE USED—
1.Pcb board
2.Lcd display, ic mounter
3.capacitors,resistors,diodes led
4. 8051 microcontroller, crystal oscillator
5. Centre tap transformer , relays, transistors
6. Bulb holders and ac switches
7. Bluetooth module,15w bulbs
Jumper wires and single strand wires and a andriod
phone with buetooth app

CONTINUE
 After making of voltage regulated power supply we
joined lcd and ic mounter on pcb board.
 Then crystal oscillator is mounted on pcb with
capacitor and resistance for reset pin of ic .
 Three relays are mounted on pcb in respective
association with transistor, resistors.
 Buetooth module is mounted on pcb.
 Finally 8051 is programmed with one program that
interfaces lcd ,bluetooth module simultaneously.
Holders and switch is joined at respective positions.
