Print project - 6.Production Reflection
- 2. Process • Before jumping straight into the project I am going to get permission from certain artists to use at least one of their pieces for my double page and the front cover of my magazine. Luckily I managed to get permission to use their work as long as I credited them in some way
- 3. Process • After getting permission off artists, I started with my front cover. Firstly I created a a4 cover and made it so it had a black background. I did this by changing the canvas colour to black and then I added my magazine title by taking a screenshot and pasting it onto my cover then adjusting the size and length of the title so it made it stand out a bit like magazines from my research.
- 4. Process • After doing the title and background I started to add and image I added effects to and an image from another artist. Furthermore, I started to add more text to the front cover and a barcode to help make it stand out but also to make it look more like a magazine cover. I also try to add short snappy text to help make the audience want to read it, but also so it grabbed their attention. • Overall I am happy with the outcome of my magazine cover after quite a few difficulties trying to make it.
- 5. Process • After completing my front cover I then moved to my double page of the magazines where I asked the artist what inspired them to do the piece they did and the other artworks they create. Then I copy and pasted their work onto the double page and started to write what they personally said about what inspired them. • I also used the text tool to create the text and help adjust it to the size and font I wanted, then I used the eye dropper tool to get the exact colours I wanted rather than some being slightly different shades.
- 6. Process • After adding more text about what motivated the artists, I started to change the colour of the text. This is so that you can see who the art is by and what the artists personally said but also to help make it stand out so it wasn’t just one colour throughout. Overall i am happy with my double page after the difficulties and issues I had to go through to make it.
