This document summarizes a research paper about detecting packet dropping attacks in wireless ad hoc networks. The paper proposes exploiting correlations between lost packets to more accurately detect selective packet dropping attacks compared to only observing packet loss rates. It develops a homomorphic linear authenticator based public auditing architecture to ensure nodes truthfully report packet loss information and allow detection to be delegated to a public server. This construction aims to achieve privacy preservation, collusion proofing, and low overhead for wireless devices.
