Abstract metal matrix composites are formed by combination of two or more materials (at least one of the material is metal) having disssimilar properties.in this present investigation aluminium as base matrix metal and silicon carbide, red mud as reinforcements. For Fabrication of MMC we are going to use stir casting process.the combination of composite material is prepared.tribological and mechanical properties like microstructures,wear,frictional properties were analysed by scanned electron microscopy and tensile,compression strength,hardness were going to study by different machines. .
