PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM
What is Pythagorean Theorem,
and what do the variables stand
for?
 Pythagorean Theorem has an equation that
  goes along with it.
 a^2+ b^2=c^2
 The variables stand for the two legs (a^2 and
  b^2) and the c^2 is the hypotenuse. The
  hypotenuse is always c^2.
 You use a right triangle for this equation
Example on how to solve the
problem

Square root of 16= 4
What is distance formula?

 Square root of (x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2 is the
  equation for the distance formula
 To solve a distance formula problem you do 3
  simple steps
1. Label the points
2. Put them into the distance formula
3. Do the math
Example of the distance
formula problem
(3,2) and (6,4)

(6-3)^2+(4-2)^2
