This document discusses using QR codes in library instruction sessions to engage students in a scavenger hunt activity and familiarize them with career resources. The librarian created QR codes linked to relevant resources and questions, and placed them around the library. Students used their smartphones to scan the codes, find answers, and discuss their findings. Immediate feedback showed students enjoyed using their phones and learning about QR codes. Lessons included testing codes on multiple devices, having online backup content, and preparing for technical issues. Revisions would make codes link to questions and use polling software for feedback.
