This paper presents an implementation of an adaptive beamformer for phased array radar using digital signal processing techniques. It discusses the advantages of digital beamforming over traditional analog methods, including enhancements in tracking and signal handling capabilities, and provides results from both MATLAB simulations and real-time implementations on a TMS320C6713 DSP kit. The system demonstrated effective beam steering and adaptive response to interference, confirming the viability of the proposed hardware setup for digital beamforming applications.
