This document discusses a project aimed at enhancing passenger safety by reducing the impact effects on car bumpers through the use of honeycomb structures and nitinol memory shape alloys. A series of analyses, including structural and impact assessments, were conducted comparing traditional bumper materials with a new design utilizing these advanced materials, leading to a significant increase in safety. The conclusion indicates that the improved bumper design could enhance passenger safety by up to 70%, demonstrating the potential benefits of innovative materials in automotive engineering.
