This article presents a novel multipath quality of service (QoS) enabled source routing algorithm for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) that addresses the limitations of single path routing by incorporating multi-constrained and multipath routing strategies. Utilizing rough set theory for decision making, the proposed algorithm filters route requests based on QoS metrics, aiming to reduce the network load and ensure better reliability and resource distribution among nodes. The approach involves collecting QoS information across multiple layers of the TCP/IP protocol stack, enhancing the efficiency and performance of packet delivery in dynamic MANET environments.
