Auto and manual images
There is a automatic difference from auto
mode and manual mode as they colour
grade has a huge contrast.
The texture between her hair has changed
compared to auto as she has more colour in
comparison to her first picture this is
because the manual DSLR has a more
efficient camera colours and artificial.
The colour in-between her blue top has changed
contrast because the 2 platforms have changed
within the camera sense as auto mode mostly focus
on her face more than anything.
Applying manual controls allows one more freedom
to enhance, manipulate and master applied
photographic applications.
Applying manual controls allows one more
freedom to enhance, manipulate and master
applied photographic applications.
The colour contrast between the
women hair is really different as the
cameras focuses on her appearance.
In automatic mode the cameras
will make all the decisions for you,
including the aperture setting, the
shutter speed, white balance and
ISO. Nearly all digital cameras have
an automatic exposure mode.
manual control of the aperture, and
shutter speed is calculated by the
camera for proper exposure (given an
ISO sensitivity).

DSLR CAMERA
These arrows shows us the target audience how to use a camera with the instructions arrowed on the buttons so we know what to do
when using this device the cameras show the exposure buttons this simply brings a different contrast to pictures or videos taken by the
photographer or videographer .
Smart Phones
Viewfinder (Screen)
• The preview window on a camera that is used to frame, focus and
take the picture. On analogue cameras, the viewfinder is an eye-sized
window that must be pressed against the face. Point-and-shoot digital
cameras use small LCD screens.
lens (functions, types)
• A camera lens (also known as photographic lens or photographic
objective) is an optical lens or assembly of lenses used in conjunction
with a camera body and mechanism to make images of objects either
on photographic film or on other media capable of storing an image
chemically or electronically.
Image sensor
• An Image Sensor is a device that converts an optical image to an
electric signal. It is used mostly in digital cameras and other imaging
devices.
Aperture (f. stops)
• The aperture stop of a photographic lens can be adjusted to control
the amount of light reaching the film or image sensor.
Shutter
• In photography, shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time
when the film or digital sensor inside the camera is exposed to light,
also when a camera's shutter is open when taking a photograph
memory (memory card, internal storage)
• a memory card helps videographers and photographers save their
work when needing to import work to software to edit. In addition to
this its a small, flat flash drive used especially in digital cameras and
mobile phones.
flash
• A flash is a device used in photography producing a flash of artificial
light
exposure (e.g. under, over)
• A photograph's exposure determines how light or dark an image will
appear when it's been captured by your camera.
colour (temperature: warm, cold)
• The color temperature of a light source is the temperature of an ideal
black-body radiator that radiates light of a color comparable to that of
the light source
white balance
• the colour balance on a digital camera
lights (tungsten, fluorescent,
natural, artificial
• Knowing how your digital camera meters light is critical for achieving
consistent and accurate exposures. Metering is the brains behind how
your camera determines the shutter speed and aperture, based on
lighting conditions and ISO speed.
hand held
• Hand-held camera or hand-held shooting is a filmmaking and video
production technique in which a camera is held in the camera
operator's hands as opposed to being mounted on a tripod or other
base.
Tripod
a three-legged stand for supporting a camera or other apparatus.
type, e.g. RAW, Jpeg
• These are formats of where people can save their work on the
computer
• A JPEG image file is a RAW file that has been converted by the in-
camera DIGIC processor and saved as a compressed file. It can be
saved at different image sizes and levels of compression to give
different file sizes. The camera takes the RAW file and applies the
camera parameter or Picture Style settings to the image to create a
new file.
size.
• 1) Graphic files on the computer
•
• Image size
• The image size of a graphic file is given in pixels. This image size gives the measurements (width x height) of a digital photo i.e.
4608x3072px. The width is usually listed first.
• A digital image on the computer will never have DPI, cm or inch as the unit. It will only have pixels.
• Definition
• Definition is the product of the width and the height of a digital image in pixels. An image with the size 4608x3072px has a
definition of 14155776 pixels, or about 14.2 MegaPixel. Camera manufacturers like to use MegaPixel designation to show off their
product.
