It is autumn/winter evening time in the south of England in the
new forest in 2015 and the Nelson family (mum, dad and daughter)
are just clearing up the kitchen from dinner and their teenage
daughter is off to get ready for bed.
The camera pans across to revel the new forest.

MEGAN, a casually dressed teenage girl with long brown curly hair
is sat at the head of the dining room table just finishing her
dinner with her parents sat either side of her opposite each
other.

MEGAN’S DAD, a smartly dressed man in his early 50s with not that
much hair.

MEGANS MUM MEGANS DAD
Ok goodnight darling. Sleep well.
ACT 1 SCENE 3
Megan heads off down the corridor towards
her bedroom and the camera follows behind
her until she closes her bedroom door behind
her.
MEGAN, walks towards her desk and grabs her laptop
and goes to sit on her bed, opening up the laptop
and turning it on.
She then proceeds to do work on her computer. We see
her scrolling through social media on her phone
whilst she is watching a film on her laptop. On her
phone we see flashes of her name to reinforce this
characters existence.
We then see her put her laptop away and head to the 17.
bathroom to wash her face and put her pyjamas on, 18. after
slowly heading back to her room and getting into bed then
checking her phone for one last time before turning her
bedside lamp off and shutting her eyes.
As she shuts her eyes the camera perspective switches to a
POV shot as if the audience is looking through her eyes and
on screen we can see her eyelids shut in front of the
camera. The screen then goes black.
The screen is black for around 20-30 seconds, in the
background for the first 10 seconds we hear a flat line
beep sound to infer to the audience the death of the
character.
The flat line sound then begins to fade out and we hear the
faint voices of the French parents of Amelie begin to talk,
subtitles will be on screen to translate the following
dialogue for the rest of the film.

Amelie opening her eyes and looking out into the room.
AMELIE’S DAD
[Subtitled on screen](In French)(Calling

ACT 2 SCENE 2
The camera flips so that the audience is looking at her in
bed. Amelie slowly sits up with a look or confusion and
worry on her face. We see her look down at her hands then
look around her room in worry and confusion.
She then gets out of her bed and walks towards a mirror on
the other side of her room and the camera pans across to
follow her.
The camera flips to an over the shoulder shot of her
looking at herself in the mirror with a look of shock on
her face as she realizes she isn’t who she thought she was.

newspaper about her tragic and unexplained death in her
sleep, the camera then does a close up on the date of the
article being 2015 then zooms into the date on the laptop
being 2020. She then frantically searches “what is my
current location” and it shows she is in the south of
France.
The camera flips to a close up shot of her face looking
worried and scared with a couple of tears rolling down her
face.
AMELIE’S MUM
