leaving her and looks confused.
CUTS TO
Alice catches up to behind an enthusiastic Friend 1 waiting
in line .
FRIEND 1:
(sniffs the air joyfully and
then sighs)
I love the smell of chips in the
morning. Gonna get a massive plate
of chips with lots spice and
[beat]fish, yes fish would go well
with it.
ALICE:
Oh I’m not hungry at the minute,
I’ll just let you pay for it,I’ll
eat later.
FRIEND 1:
(sad)
I thought you was payin’ for it?
Friend 1 leaves the line and exits off screen. Leaving Alice
confused.Tulpa enters the scene from behind Alice.
3 INT- ALICE’S HOUSE-BEDROOM 3
An hour later, Alice is laid down with her face buried
under her pillow, pretending to cry. Tulpa comforts her by
putting her hand on her back.
ALICE:O
(dramatically)
That was so bad.
Tulpa goes to Alice’s PC and types away, looking for another
potential friend. She finds another profile and she signals
Alice to inspect her findings.
ALICE:
I hope this one’s different to the last one.

Tulpa shows Friend 2s Facebook profile. Alice looks at
friend 2 down and hides behind her hair. Tulpa takes a
notices of her body language and her personal gestures. She
remembers her doing the same thing earlier.
ALICE:
(fearing and she starts stuttering
slowly)What if they don’t like
m-m-me? or What if they thinks I’m
not good enough to be their friend?
What if they thinks I-I-I am
n-n-not c-c-cool enough?
Tulpa responds to her emotions by going close to her. Alice
hides her face. Tulpa nods reassuring her things are going
to be fine and Alice smirks.
Alice picks up her self phone and calls the friend 2.
CUTS TO
4 EXT- CLEETHORPES PROMADE- AFTERNOON 4
Alice is leaning at the railing waiting for Friend 2. Friend
2 enters the scene.
ALICE:
(Exciting)
Hey I am...
FRIEND 2:
(interrupts and finishes
sentence)
Alice [beat] right?
ALICE:
(smiles and still maintains
the excitement)
Yes... that’s me.
Puts her hand out to in front of Friend 2 as a friendly
gesture but Friend 2 dismisses it. Alice thinks quickly and
notices her hand bag.
ALICE:
(curiously)
Hey, that’s a nice hand bag. Where
did you buy it?
FRIEND 2:
(Posh accent)
Oh my dad bought me this from Paris
on his business trip.

- 1. 1 EXT-CHURCH DOOR- AFTERNOON-3PM 1 LS Alice and Friend 1 have just met each other. Alice seems nervous as she keeps her head down and try to hide behind her hair. Tulpa is on the other side of Alice. They begin to exchange greetings. FRIEND 1: (Excitedly, this trails over Alice’s dialogue) Hi.. ALICE: Hi! I am Alice,I am really happy to meet you. FRIEND 1: Same here, I am Jack it’s great to meet you. Friend 1 pauses for a second, then goes into hug; taking Alice by surprise making her feel uncomfortable vshe tries to hold it back to act natural. FRIEND 1: Well, since we’re both here lets get this show on the road. Then the two go off screen to begin the friend date. CUTS TO The two characters walk on screen with Friend 1 ahead of Alice who’s carrying two bags. FRIEND 1: (exhilarated in the moment) Hey, Lets go over there! There’s more people over there! ALICE: Um.. wait haven’t we been here before? The two characters walk off screen. CUTS TO Alice and Friend 1 walk on screen. Friend 1 runs foward and pauses and looks behind. As they speak Alice walks wearily behind like a donkey carrying a heavy bricks on their back. Alice has more bags in her hands Friend 1 gestures Alice to speed up. (CONTINUED)

Why did I agree to this? Freiend 1 runs off screen whilst Alice and haunches over to catch her breath. Tulpa is trailing behind Alice. ALICE: (Still Panting) Why did I agree to this? 2 EXT- CLEETHORPES STREET- MORNING 2 MEDUIM SHOT OF THE TWO CHARACTER WALKING. CAMERA FOLLOWS THE AUDIENCE Friend 1 and Alice are both having a relaxing stroll on the sidewalk. Alice is walking with her hands in her pocket and her head down. ALICE: (Nervously) So.... errm what do you like to do? FRIEND 1: (Enthusiastic and happy but laid back) Well...People tend to find me either in the gym, jogging or at home on the kinect really. MS Alice tucking her hands underneath her sleeves and smiles a little. Does she look at Friend 1 or does she keep her head down. All printed with the white snake skin. ALICE: Nice they must be cool. FRIEND 2: (looks away and looks back) Yes... Well listen ... I have better things I could be doing right now to do so you better keep me intrested very fast. ALICE: (Arkward) errmm...... CU During this a public man bumps into Friend 2. PUBLIC MAN: (panicing) Oh I am so so sorry.. are you alright? FRIEND 2: (angryly) Do you know who I am?! I will sue you for what your worth. PUBLIC MAN: It was just an accident Whilst Friend 2 and Public man are arguing in the background Alice looks off screen at Tulpa and she walks off screen leaving those to argue. CUTS TO
- 6. 6. 5 INT- ALICE’S HOUSE-BEDROOM 5 CU OF ALICE’S FACE. Alice is sat on her bed with her down sorrowfully, she starts to feel bad. Tulpa shows her the next candidate. ALICE: (sighs and looks at Tulpa) Are you sure this time? Tulpa sighs and nods her head reassuring her this could be the true friend. Alice smiles a little. ALICE: (holding back the emotions) Okay, set it up and I’ll be there. CAMERA ZOOMS INTO ALICE’S SORROWFUL FACE CUTTING TULPA OUT OF THE SCENE. FADE TO 6 EXT- BEACH 6 Friend 3 is sat next to Alice is noticing that Friend 3 is on their mobile phone texting and not paying attention. ALICE: Hey, I’m Alice. it’s a nice day isn’t it? Friend 3 looks at her and then back at her phone and she grunts. CU Tulpa looks confused. ALICE: So how long have you been here? Friend 3 grunts Alice’s confidence begins to drain as her words are left on deaf ears. ALICE: I heard we’re gonna get good weather soon? Friend 3 turns her body away from Alice and continues to text. MS Alice begins to taps her feet on the ground in basic rhythm and she keeps calm.
