Lucy is holding a white board, she begins to write down the words " s c h o o l p r o j e c t " ALEX Make sure you write the title " our neighbourhood" on the powerpoint. LUCY: Tell me five things that come to mind when you think about our neighbourhood 3. INT. BEDROOM. AFTERNOON. Alex begins to write on the white board " dirty streets" LUCY ( )LAUGHING Very true! ALEX: Dirty people LUCY: Wait. what. ALEX : The man who I was sitting next to on the bus today smelt really bad. He probably never showers. LUCY ( LAUGHING) oh. also true 4.INT. BEDROOM. AFTERNOON. Lucy writes down the ideas so far: dirty streets. LUCY: And how about when you were walking from the bus stop? what did you notice?
- 3. 2. Created using Celtx ALEX: One things for sure, I didn't get stabbed. Alex takes his pencil and pretends to stab Lucy, while laughing. Lucy is sitting still, not laughing. LUCY ( SERIOUS TONE): STOP. ALEX ( STILL LAUGHING): WHAT. ( SILENCE) LUCY? WHAT IS IT? LUCY: You can't joke about that. It's a serious topic. People are dying everyday because of this. 5.INT.HOUSE.AFTERNOON Alex and Lucy sit in silence while Lucy is colouring in her title page for the school project. Alex looks up at Lucy to see what she is doing. ALEX: look I'm sorry. I know it is a serious topic. I really like you, I was just trying to impress you and got caught up in the moment. LUCY ( BLUSHING) Its okay. These things happen, and I over reacted. I am sorry. ALEX ( JOKING): you don't need to worry, the only knives I have are in my kitchen. LUCY ( SERIOUS TONE/ ANGRY): ARE YOU SERIOUS?! SILENCE

LUCY ( SERIOUS TONE/ ANGRY): But you don't Silence Alex takes his phone out and texts someone. ALEX: well look since I made that joke it would only be right for me to make it up to you. I will take the project home and finish it. You have worked really hard on it already. LUCY: And what will you write? All your stupid jokes on serious topics? Or back that up with other completely disgusting jokes. Your humour is vile. ALEX: I said. IM SORRY. LUCY: I will finish it myself. And don't worry I'll include your name and your comedy act. ALEX: Look, I'm going to go now. You can finish the project. Thank you for letting me come over. ALEX PACKS HIS THINGS UP AND BEGINS TO WALK OUT OF LUCY'S BEDROOM DOOR. Lucy stands up and puts her jacket on.

Alex and Lucy walk out of the house. Lucy stays silent looking at her phone. ALEX : You do not have to do this. I am fine As Alex is speaking Lucy begins to look up from her phone, as a man begins to approach her. EXT. FRONT OF HOUSE. AFTERNOON. Introduce man. Middle aged wearing a black tracksuit. His hood is up and his head is down. MAN: Do you know where I could - LUCY: Im sorry. I don't do that stuff. I don't know. please leave me alone. MAN: find the bus stop Silence. Alex begins to laugh and Lucy Is looking very embarrassed. ALEX: Its just down the road. Im going that way so I can show you. MAN: okay thank you ALEX ( DIRECTED AT LUCY) ONE NIL
