- 2. Introduction : Simulation A simulation of a system is the operation of a model. The model can be reconfigured, experimented, can be studied and properties concerning the behavior of the actual system can be identified. Immitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time.(Mostly use tool or software-STELLA) Function: To create a model which can represent a system. To make an experiment for understand behavior of system or evaluate different strategies. To observe events, processes either properties or behaviors about system with model.

FUNCTIONS OF SIMULATION IN FUTURE LEARNING. • Can be used to compress a time frame, a simulation model run on a computer system can be used to investigate quickly the effects of a change in a real life situation that take place over several years. • Can be used to study complex systems that would otherwise be difficult to investigate.
- 7. • Can be used in geoscience or medical field to investigate the effect of changes without producing a physical prototype. (e.g: WILSIM-GC and CardioSim) • Can be used to investigate situation that would be dangerous in real life.
- 8. DISADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER SIMULATIONS • We have a poor understanding of how some physical systems work. For this reason it has not been possible to create simulations that can accurately predict the occurrence and effects of earthquakes and tsunami. • Complex simulations can require the use of a computer system with a fast processor and large amounts of memory
- 9. CONCLUSION • Computer simulations can bring many benefits in teaching and learning but at the same time, it also has some disadvantages. • When using computer simulations, teachers have to explain to the students about how the data is collected to obtain results.
