The SolarEdge system outperformed SMA string inverters and Enphase microinverters in a shading study, showing energy gains of 1.9%, 5%, and 8.4% under varying shading conditions. It demonstrated a shading mitigation factor (smf) of 28.3%, 21.9%, and 24.3% for light, medium, and heavy shading, respectively, indicating its superiority in energy recovery compared to traditional systems. The study utilized standardized testing procedures and identical arrays to minimize bias and accurately measure performance under simulated shading scenarios.
