Before the Start of the Semester
❏Set availability of the course
❏Post a CURRENT Syllabus
❏Create an announcement - set
availability to first day of class
❏ Welcome your student
❏ Provide direction on what to do

❏ Copy your course to a course template
❏ Send request to helpdesk
❏ Request assistance from an Instructional
Designer
❏Use a Course Template
❏ Clean and organized your content
Before the Start of the Semester
❏CLEAN UP Course (before/after copy)
❏ Edit announcements to update creation date
❏ Check links and update as needed
❏ Update due dates
❏ Delete duplicate items or menu items
❏ Check availability of the content item
❏ Check your grade center columns
❏ Clean up discussion boards
❏ Check test pools and delete duplicate
Before the Start of the Semester
❏Remind the student to update personal
information.
❏Make sure all content is ADA Compliant
END of the Semester.
It’s time to relax
After the Semester is Over
❏Make course unavailable
❏ At least 2 weeks after the semester ends
❏Clean up Content Collections
❏Prepare your template for copy
