The E-Learning ClassroomJen Bates and Ali Hamp
Professional Learning Community (PLC)	In education, a PLC is the context in which people involved with teaching collaboratively learn how they can improve student learning.	The function of these ongoing PD sessions will be for those involved to improve their pedagogy in terms of e-learning and share their practice with others.

What does e-learning mean to you?Using a range of technologies across curriculum levels and areas to promote learning and teachingUsing different multimedia devices; a variety of technologiesICT integration for me is all about using an exciting range of tools to enhance learning opportunities
What is e-learning?	E-learning is defined as the delivery of educational content via any electronic media. But in practice it represents much more.
Why is e-learning important?“The use of digital technology has been completely normalised by this generation, and it is now fully integrated into their daily lives. The majority of young people simply use new media as tools to make their lives easier.”(Their Space: Education for a digital generation (2007) Hannah Green and Celia Hannon)
Why is e-learning important?“The place of technology in our future learning systems cannot be isolated from the way technology is impacting on our society.”(The place of technology (2009) Theme paper from Secondary Futures.) Curriculum linksManaging self: Students make their own decisions about what tools to use and how to manage their time.Participating and contributing:	Students work with the teacher and peers. They teach others as they learn independently.
