- 1. ManageEngine OpManger Terry Bohuslov CIS 516 OpManager is an single integrated application that is designed to manage Enterprise Networks and Datacenters. OpManager is listed has having a number of abilities that include: Ability to auto discover devices Service Level Dashboards Mapping of network to include servers, switches, routers Multiply reports types Real-Time health monitoring of Networks using SNMP, VMI, Telnet, email and SMS alerts
- 2. Installation Wizard Installation Wizard begins with Automatic discovery and then proceeds to Service selection
- 3. Installation Wizard Cont. As you can see form the Installation Wizard, it has found my local workstation and added it to device list. The Wizard was very easy to use and not complicated.
- 4. OpManager Home The OpManager home gives us an snapshot of our Network Infrastructure. The layout is easy to view and understand. It also shows us Availability of Distribution and Alarm Graphs
- 5. OpManager Maps I really enjoyed the Maps Tab. It begins with a drop list of Infrastructure Views, Business Views and Network Views. When I click on Infrastructure Views Desktop it then shows a very nice layout of Devices. It shows a multiply graphical views for Availability, CPU, Memory.
- 7. OpManager Admin The Admin Views shows us an entire layout of the functionality of OpManage. It list all the tools and setup we need and easy to navigate around depending on location you are looking for.
- 8. Monitoring One thing I have noticed is that Opmanage has some excellent features for monitoring devices and networks. You can set up to monitor: URL Monitoring Windows Service Monitoring Event Log Rules SNMP Trap Processors You can setup Monitoring Intervals, this allows you set different time intervals for each type of device to be monitored.
- 9. OpManager Support The OpManage has a built in support area. Within this area you are able to access knowledge Base articles, request support among many other features.
- 10. OpManage Summary Working with the OpManager I found it very intuitive and easy to use. They system is very powerful with a lot of functionality. I only had it set up on my local workstation, however it easily found my system and began to monitor it. The system has many functions and with a price range from $1,200 to $10,000 it would be worth its price.
