Preaching Obligation Of
Muhammad (
‫وسلم‬ ‫علیہ‬ ‫ہللا‬ ‫صلی‬
)

■ Hazrat Muhammad (
) is the
Messenger of Allah in that His duty was to spread the
message of Allah, not forcefully convert the people of
the society to the religion. The prophethood of Holy
Prophet (
) has two parts. Firstly He is
a prophet and Secondly, He is the last Prophet of Allah
Almighty.

Preaching
“The delivery of a sermon or religious address to an assembled group of
people.”

■ verse-by-verse.

In IslamicTheology:
■ In Islamic theology, the purpose of da'wah is to invite people, Muslims and non-
Muslims, to understand the worship of God as expressed in the Qur'an and the sunnah
of the prophet Muhammad and to inform them about Muhammad. ... Muhammad
saw Islam as the true religion and mission of all earlier prophets.

■ Methodology of Dawah in Islam
■ In Islamic theology, the purpose of da'wah is to invite people, Muslims
and non-Muslims, to understand the worship of God as expressed in the
Qur'an and the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad and to inform them
about Muhammad. ... After Muhammad, his followers and the Ummah
(Muslim community) assumed responsibility for it.

Preaching In Other Religions
Christianity, Buddhism, Jews

Buddhism:
■ Buddhism is a philosophy of life expounded by Gautama Buddha ("Buddha" means
"enlightened
■ one"), who lived and taught in northern India in the 6th century B.C.The Buddha was
not a god and
■ the philosophy of Buddhism does not entail any theistic world view.The teachings of
the Buddha
■ are aimed solely at liberating sentient beings from suffering.

Christianity
■ In Christian churches, a sermon is usually preached to a
congregation in a place of worship, either from an elevated
architectural feature.

What is Dawwah?
■ Da'wah is the act of inviting or calling people to embrace Islam.The
plural is da'wāt ( ‫وات‬ ْ‫َع‬‫د‬
) or ...With regard to Muhammad's mild nature
in preaching Islam, the Quran says: And by the mercy ofAllah you dealt
with them gently.

Da’ai (Preacher)
■ A da'i (Arabic: ‫داعي‬ ,romanized: dāʿī, lit. 'inviter, caller', [ˈdæːʕi(ː)]) is
generally someone who engages in da'wah, the act of inviting people to
Islam.
■ One who invites people to the faith, to the prayer, or to Islamic life.The
invitation or “call” to Islam is known as dawah

Wisdom:
 One main statement will dominate the next several
minutes in my speaking. I call you to let it take hold in
your thoughts first, and then, by the Holy Spirit's
enabling, in your heart as well.
 The statement is simple and deep: God is infinitely wise.

 ACCORDING to the Quran,
wisdom is of greatest value for a human being. There is a verse in Chapter al-Baqrah which states:
“Whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted abundant wealth”
(2: 269).
Bible says in Proverbs 4:6-7,
"Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme;
therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding."
(Quran 16:125)

Sermon
 Khutbah (Arabic: ‫خطبة‬ khuṭbah, Turkish: hutbe) serves as the primary
formal occasion for public preaching in the Islamic tradition. Such
sermons occur regularly, as prescribed by the teachings of all legal
schools. The Islamic tradition can be formally observed at the Dhuhr
(noon) congregation prayer on Frida

Argumentative
 Argument is the third type of preaching in which you fight with your powerful words in front
your enemy and u make your enemy speechless due to your powerful words
 Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“He who gave up disputing while he is right, a palace of high rank in Paradise will be built
for him. ''
The Hadith is teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he encountered
throughout his prophecy.
