from excel spreadsheets into the Deltek MPM planning tool. 2) Created a standard WBS structure

Cost Accountant
2008-2009 AAR Composites Clearwater, Florida
AAR Composites manufactures composite structures for military and commercial customers. As
the Cost Accountant I am a key member of the Finance Team responsible for managing critical
aspects of the business through strategic analysis and reporting using an Oracle ERP system.
General responsibilities include standard job costing models, pricing analysis, cost updates and
inventory control.
Specific duties include: monitoring job costs related to large commercial and military programs;
perform variance analysis relating to operational performance and cost behaviors; generation and
analysis of monthly reporting on business performance and key indicators; creation of monthly
journal entries for COGS reporting; support of operations with price/margin analysis and any ad-
hoc reporting needs; and demonstrate consistent financial leadership.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1) Improved the cost and revenue tracking of the large
dollar custom projects. 2) Implemented monthly margin analysis by item number. 3) Developed a
monthly standard vs. actual dollars analysis on all shipments. 4) Implemented a weekly cycle
count program generated and maintained in Oracle.
Sr. Cost Accountant
2005-2008 Pall Aeropower New Port Richey, Florida
As the Sr. Cost Accountant for this subsidiary of Pall Corporation, a billion dollar multinational
manufacturing organization, I was responsible for the monthly cost of sales projections for the
various business units. On a monthly basis I provided the controller with analysis of cost data and
any variance rationale as needed, along with the preparation and validation of the monthly journal
entries.
Specific duties include: perform independent review and audits of manufacturing processes,
provide management with summary data for costs associated with direct labor and material
expenditures, investigate inventory issues and recommend necessary corrective actions, any ad
hoc support for the month end closing activities and labor/material overhead rate determination.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1) Developing standard cost models for the various product
lines in an effort to streamline the cost reconciliation process. 2) Automated the input of the

Accountant II
2003-2005 Pasco County Utilities New Port Richey, Florida
This Accountant II position is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for the Utilities
Division. In this position I developed the fiscal year budget submittals to the Board of County
Commissioners. Coordinated the submittal and collections of reimbursable grant monies from the
Southwest Florida Water Management District. Acted as the focal point for the Utilities
Department implementations of a new Customer Information System, assisted in the
development of user fees and rate determinations for taxing districts.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1) Created Access databases to support FEMA
reimbursement requests associated with hurricane debris removal contracts. As a result of using
these databases, the records associated with the reimbursements was validated quickly by FEMA
and the county received its monies in a timely fashion. 2) Collected over 5 million dollars in past
due grant money from SWFWMD.
Sr. Project Cost Analyst
2001-2003 Tampa Electric Company Tampa, Florida
As Sr. Project Cost Analyst, I was responsible for cost performance on the major capital improvement
projects and maintenance activities implemented at the Big Bend Station, Gannon Station, and the
Polk Station. Specific duties include baseline cost targets, monitor monthly expenditures, track material
commitments, re-forecast labor and material estimates as necessary and provide variance analysis.
During the first year, I dramatically improved the monthly re-forecasting process by utilizing an Access
database for analysis of the cost information. Review and inventory bill of materials on major capital
projects to develop the equipment retirement property records.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1) Developed standard cost reports that were reviewed at the
monthly project review meetings. 2). Developed a process to track costs on a weekly basis during
major plant outage construction/maintenance activities.
Sr. Financial Analyst
1997-2001 Utility Partners Tampa, Florida
As Sr. Financial Analyst at this rapidly growing software development company I was responsible
for the monthly financial reporting, analysis and forecasting, maintaining budgets for all active
projects, and interfacing with all levels of management. As a result of the project forecasting
methodology I implemented, the accuracy of the monthly revenue projections improved
dramatically. During the last year I successfully lead the implementation of a new integrated
project management software system. Other duties included pricing new business, earned value
analysis and manpower projections.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1). Implemented the NIKU Project Enterprise Software that
integrated the individual project schedules and actuals so manpower decisions could be analyzed
at a company wide level rather than project-by-project basis. 2) As Utility Partners moved from a
custom software solution provider to a standard package provider the project enterprise system I
implemented provided the data needed to make the appropriate pricing strategy changes.
Sr. Financial Analyst
1993-1997 Contraves Inc, Tampa, Florida
Contraves produced aircraft simulators, training devices and firefighter trainers for military and
commercial customers. As the Sr. Financial Analyst my responsibilities included: generation and
monitoring of yearly revenue projections and subsequent variance analysis, estimates to
complete on all programs, rate determination, manpower projections, proposal estimating and
pricing internal audits and DCAA interface. Hired as the Program Controller in 1993 and was
promoted to Sr. Financial Analyst in 1996.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1) E-2C Tactical Trainer-$18M. I consolidated the work
breakdown structure (with DCAA approval) to a more realistic and manageable level. This gave

the project team the ability to focus on the high- risk areas and react quickly to any potential cost
over runs. As a result potential cost over runs were avoided and additional contract dollars were
awarded for out of scope activities. 2) MI-A2 Tank Procedure Trainer-$12M. I developed an
earned value system that gave the project manager early visibility to project status on this
prototype software and hardware development implementation.
Project Accountant
1985-1993 CAE Inc, (Formerly Reflectone Inc.) Tampa, Florida
CAE designs and manufactures flight simulators and training devices for military and commercial
markets. As the Project Accountant, I was responsible for all financial reporting and cost analysis
for the Operations Division to include: labor and material cost estimates for proposal activity,
reporting of performance and earned value, manloading projections, and development of fiscal
year labor and material base.
Specific Project Accomplishments: 1) C-5 Cargo Aircraft Refueling Simulator Project-$20M. I
implemented a vendor control system that utilized objective milestones (source inspections) to
measure the progress of vendors rather than a progress payment philosophy. This allowed the
project manager visibility to milestones completed rather that what was expended. 2) C-130
Transport Aircraft Simulator Prototype Project - $8M I worked with the Engineering and
Manufacturing groups to define and measure standard modules that could be used for follow on
production units. The subsequent production units were all under budget.
