offenders had exhibited signs of stress, disgruntlement, or other issues, but no alarms were raised.

interpretive and descriptive and because of the nature of qualitative research data, the best forms of
organization and management of the data is coding or grouping the data when looking for patterns in
the research findings. Five steps to good data management are reported to include those stated as
follows:
(1) Choose and follow a clear file naming system;
(2) Develop a data tracking system;
(3) Establish and document transcription/translation procedures;
(4) Establish quality control procedures; and

Research Sites The proposed research study will take place in two schools within two separate
school districts in Tennessee. In order to protect the identity of the research sites, pseudonyms have
been used to reference the names of the two schools selected for the study. Fairfax Elementary
(School A) is a Title I school in a suburban area of northeast Tennessee. This school is considered a
turn–around school, having earned Blue Ribbon status in 2009, and was awarded National Title I
Distinguished School in 2010. Though Fairfax Elementary has existed for forty years, the new
facility was built on its original site in 2010. Fairfax Elementary serves a racially and economically
diverse population consisting of 566 Pre–K through fourth–grade students. The breakdown of the
population is as follows: 63.2% Economically Disadvantaged; 15% Disabilities; 71% Caucasian;
17.5% Black, 8.6% Hispanic; and 2.2% Asian. The school's leadership team consists of one
principal and one part–time assistant principal. There are twenty–six regular, classroom teachers and
nine additional special area teachers serving Fairfax's diverse, Title I population of Pre–K through
fourth grade students. Mountain Ridge Elementary (School B) is a rural school in the most northeast

understanding of consumers and the target audience. Market research helps to define and solve
research 'problems' and this is extremely beneficial to any business or organisation (Burns & Bush,
2003). By having consumer insight because of market research, marketers are able to promote a
product to the true relevant target market, rather than wasting time and money promoting to the
whole marketplace. There are two main methods of market research, being qualitative research and
quantitative research. Both of these methods have benefits and can be used in conjunction, but for
the best results one method of data collection is often used. Quantitative data focuses on a numerical
approach to data collection via the use of statistics and information taken from surveys and census
data. Qualitative data however focuses on gathering information and exploratory research through
observations and interviews. The main approaches to collecting this type of data are experience or

In qualitative research, data analysis is a process of making meaning where the researcher has to
actively create meaning out of the raw materials (Esterberg, Kristin G., 2002). The process of
making meaning out of qualitative data is often iterative, meaning that there is a repetitive interplay
between the collection and analysis of data (Bryman and Bell, 2007).
Altogether 5 interviews were conducted with the tour operators in Denmark that are selling travel
packages to Nepal. Firstly, interview was conducted with Kipling travels (31ST March, 2014) and
then interviews were made with Dagama travels (2nd April, 2014), FDM travels (2nd April, 2014),
Albatros–travels (24th April, 2014) and lastly C&C travels (29th April, 2014). All of the interviews
were conducted on different days except interviews with Dagama travels and FDM travels. The
findings from the first interview were also used to ask questions in the following interviews and
there was constant interplay between the data analysis of the previous interview and the data
collection from the next interview. In this way, information gained from the first interview and the

The Decision Between Quantitative And Qualitative Data
One of the most important parts of establishing a research design involves the decision between
quantitative and qualitative data. Each has its own strength and weaknesses that any successful
research design must account for. Perhaps one of the easiest distinctions between the two rests in the
sample size. While quantitative data normally involves a large n, or sample size, qualitative data
involves a much smaller sample size in comparison. This smaller sample size allows qualitative
researchers to focus more on each case, increasing the internal validity of the research, but limiting
its external validity. Quantitative based research designs reverse this. The large sample size of
quantitative data often makes it difficult for researches to establish causation among the independent
and dependent variable(s). The external validly of such designs usually offsets this issue to some
extent. Due to their large nature, and use of numerical data, quantitative research is much more
replicable when compared to their qualitative counterparts. Unfortunately, the struggle between
internal and external validity is a fundamental part of research. Even efforts to combine the two
methods to form a 'mixed methods research design' ultimately fail to nullify the issue completely.
Keeping this in mind, a quantitative analysis is the most logical given the specific research question
