- 14. Notice how used to ends in –ed which normally means the verb is in the past tense. Used to in Positive Sentences (used to + verb base) I used to drink coffee every morning but now I drink tea. She used to live in London but now she lives in New York. He used to play soccer professionally but he had to retire.
