Varun Mishra Internet Usage Uses internet to look for more information, booking tickets, writing emails, chatting with friends. Uses internet in the office. Does not have a computer at home. Most of the sites (including naukri) are firewalled in the office. Varun has to access internet from café. He usually goes to the internet cafe during weekends when he has some time. Insights Since Varun access internet cyber cafe, the machine used may not always be the same. Internet behavior is usually task oriented and not browse oriented. There may not always be lot of time in hand when working on the internet. Recommendations Faster/ better search to get the most relevant results. Shorter registration process to avoid drop out. Contextual Innovation “ Contextual innovation is a discipline of understanding users in their natural (social, cultural, official etc) environment” Definition : Any products and services need to be redesigned for new markets to fulfill their cultural, technological, attitudinal requirement. Contextual innovation is a method of studying users in their natural environment and studying their attitudes and behaviors to deduct innovative products for those markets.

Innovative user interface structures increases the efficiency and effectiveness of application data and features” Provides an extensible basis for future development.
