Web 2.0 refers to a second generation of web development and design that facilitates sharing and collaboration on the internet. While difficult to precisely define, Web 2.0 focuses on harnessing collective intelligence, openness, network effects, and user experiences delivered through the browser as a platform rather than traditional software.
