- 2. HYPERLINK A link from a hypertext document to another location, activated by clicking on a highlighted word or image. BOOKMARK Bookmarks identify important text and provide the reader with a quick way to navigate through long documents. Ex: task 1
- 3. CROSS-REFERENCES Cross-references are commonly used in indexes and within long documents to direct the reader's attention to another part of the document, such as an image or related table. A cross-reference created in Word can be automatically updated if you later make changes to the document. You can create a cross-reference to any of the following objects: Numbered item (created using Word's regular or outline numbering) Heading (formatted using Styles) Bookmarked text Figure / Table / Equation (marked using Captions) EX: figure2
- 4. HYPERLINK Make the text bold -> Right click -> choose Hyperlink
- 6. 1. Existing File or Web Page: a link to an existing file or a web page 2. Place in this Document: create Bookmarks or Headings before using hyperlink to link to the line or Headings which were marked. 3. Create New Document: link to a file that haven’t created yet 4. Email Address: link to email address 5. Screentips: Screen tips let you provide additional information to your readers. When you hover your mouse pointer over the hyperlinked text, a mini screen tip appears providing more information about the text. See Example
- 7. BOOKMARKS Step 1 : Click in the location of your document where you want like to add a bookmark For example: Task 1 Step 2: From the Insert tab, select Bookmark
