• Promotes physical activity.
• Emphasises informed decision making
leading to effective and responsible
action.
The PDHPE curriculum covers…
• Physical, social, cognitive and emotional
growth and development patterns.
• Positive interpersonal relationships.
• Personal health choices.
• Living and learning in a safe secure
environment.
• The adoption of an active lifestyle.
• Fundamental movement patterns and
coordination.
Being active can help with ….
• Healthy growth and development.
• Maintaining a healthy weight.
• Strong bones and muscles.
• Cardiovascular fitness.
• Balance, coordination, strength, posture
and motor skills.
• Concentration and thinking skills.
• Confidence and self-esteem.
• Social skills.
