A Cloud-Based Smart Remote Controlling and Monitoring of
Electrical Appliance Using Android Phone

Abstract
Now-a-days efficient energy management has become very crucial. In today’s era the
Smartphone based on android platform plays great role in the technical field, which also
provides various applications. Today, most mobile phones are a “smart phone,” which offers
more advanced capabilities in connectivity issues than regular cell phones. Smart phone
usually support one or more short range wireless technologies such as bluetooth and
infrared, making it possible to transfer data via these wireless connections. The use of
Bluetooth technology in a smart phone today is not just for the transfer of data and files only.
In recent years, smart home automation is one of the applications of Bluetooth technology.
We offer electrical appliances Automation system based on Bluetooth technology, especially
in Home automation system. There are many problems like Wastage of electricity after
completion of work in computer lab or in home. For avoiding this type of problem we make
this application, which automatically turn off of electrical appliances (tube, bulb) in
computer lab or after completion of work by using GSM and Bluetooth module. In this paper,
we are proposing low cost Microcontroller (89s51) based design for efficient energy saving
by controlling the power flow for light and fan loads.

INTRODUCTION
Nowadays in our civilized lifestyle, people
cannot help but using many kind of
electronic gadgets. New electronic systems
and products are introduced every year and
a lot of manual systems have been
digitalized to make life easier. In this flow,
Automation technology is introduced for
the purpose of controlling any electronic
appliances in computer labs present in
colleges using mobile phone.[1]
In this system, using GSM modem, micro
controller and sensors, electronic
appliances are automated for energy
saving and making life more efficient. This
project aims to design and develop an
android application for the user that is
capable of controlling the switching of
electronic appliance as per as the
command the user sends through phone.
The consumer can make easy access to the
electronic appliances for their efficient
use. That will save energy and saving
energy means saving money. This
initiative is to make modern lifestyle easier
at low cost. This project can also be a
helping hand for disabled, partially

Coding of Fingerprint Image Enhancement

Abstract
The coding of fingerprint image enhancement is elaborated in this paper. The code is
developed in MATLAB for Rotational filter. In MATLAB we have used various functions to
reduce the noise from the image and to improve quality of the image.

INTRODUCTION
System design provides the understandings
and procedural details necessary for
implementing the system recommended in
the system study. Emphasis is on the
translating the performance requirements
into design specifications. The design
phase is a transition from a user-oriented
document (System proposal) to a
document oriented to the programmers or
database personnel.[1]
System design goes through two phases of
development:
Logical Design
Physical Design
A data flow diagram shows the logical
flow of the system. For a system it
describes the input (source), output
(destination), database (data stores) and
procedures (data flows) all in a format that
meets the user’s requirement. When
analysis prepares the logical system
design, they specify the user needs at a
level of detail that virtually determines the
information flow into an out of the system
and the required data resources. The
logical design also specifies input forms
and screen layouts.
Logical and Output Design
The logical design of an information
system is analogous to an engineering blue
print of an automobile. It shows the major
features and how they are related to one
another. The detailed specification for the
new system was drawn on the bases of
user’s requirement data. The outputs
inputs and databases are designed in this
phase.
Output design is one of the most important
features of the information system. When
the output is not of good quality the users
will be averse to use the newly designed
system and may not use the system.[2]

The information that is necessary for
presentation
The outputs (i.e., well formatted table
outputs in the screen itself) designed
are simple to read and interpret.

The input design is the link that ties the
information system into the user’s world.

Keywords: logical design, physical design INTRODUCTION System design provides the understandings and procedural details necessary for implementing the system recommended in the system study. Emphasis is on the translating the performance requirements into design specifications. The design phase is a transition from a user-oriented document (System proposal) to a document oriented to the programmers or database personnel.[1] System design goes through two phases of development: Logical Design Physical Design A data flow diagram shows the logical flow of the system. For a system it describes the input (source), output (destination), database (data stores) and procedures (data flows) all in a format that meets the user’s requirement. When analysis prepares the logical system design, they specify the user needs at a level of detail that virtually determines the information flow into an out of the system and the required data resources. The logical design also specifies input forms and screen layouts. Logical and Output Design The logical design of an information system is analogous to an engineering blue print of an automobile. It shows the major features and how they are related to one another. The detailed specification for the new system was drawn on the bases of user’s requirement data. The outputs inputs and databases are designed in this phase. Output design is one of the most important features of the information system. When the output is not of good quality the users will be averse to use the newly designed system and may not use the system.[2] The end user, who will use the output. Little importance was given to this phase in the early days of software development. The emphasis was first on coding and then shifted to design. As systems grew more complex, it became evident that the goals of the entire system cannot be easily comprehended. Hence the need for the requirement analysis phase arose. Now, for large software systems, requirements analysis is perhaps the most difficult activity and also the most error prone. Keywords: proposed system, software development INTRODUCTION System Study and Problem Formulation The existing system work manually. The existing system has got lot of intricacies within itself and need lot of human effort and paper works. All above the data need to be maintained on ledgers and maintaining this is a tedious and risky process. As the transactions increases, so the data too. So the task of maintaining them increases exponentially. To view a data may need lot of paper to be searched. Some of the negative aspects of the existing system are as follows: 1. Time consuming: Course of action is time consuming. Wherever a need for search arises, the process evolves search through paper records. 2. Accuracy: It is statically necessarily for result preparations, which is not Possible in the existing system. There may be chances of making Mistakes while considering such a complex problem manually. 3. Readability: Its record is constrained. All the records may not be handled or written by the same person. So the format and style of records differ and hence it is difficult to understand. 4. Loss of information: Paper records are easily damaged in course of time. The life time of paper record is unreliable less that it easily gets spoiled. 5. Detailed report: The existing system is unable to give the detailed report due to non-availability of information in database. 6. Security: There is a lack of security and privacy checks in existing system. Every person can access and modify the information into registers. 7. Paper work: As the existing system is semiautomatic, lots of work is done. 8. Man power: The existing system requires lots of calculation, which are done manually, so large no. of clerks are required. More manpower means money to spend in result preparation. 9. Static: The existing system is not dynamic and cannot accept the changes at advanced stage.
