  • #2: Saba was founded in 1997, and we’ve just passed our 17th birthday. What our products are capable of today was hardly imaginable back then, but what’s still true today is that learning is a critical function to the success of great companies.
  • #4: Saba’s global customer base include 2,200 organizations, 31 million users, and 13 million cloud subscribers. They span across all major verticals and represent some of the best-known and innovative brands in each industry.
  • #5: As you know, the world of work has fundamentally changed from even 5 years ago and that traditional ways of thinking about talent management processes and the legacy technologies that support them will need to change to keep up with the new world of work. When we speak to our customers and prospects they tell us they are facing many of the same challenges that you are, including: A really fast paced, uncertain and changing business environment where new competitors seem to pop up overnight, customers are more educated and demand higher quality, and government regulations are constantly shifting. This is forcing many of clients to find ways to be more adaptable. To become more agile, organizations are looking for ways to become flatter with matrixed reporting structures and are trying to figure out ways to better connect people, ideas and content faster and enable collaboration 24 x 7 anywhere in the world. Another challenge is the makeup of the workforce itself. Right now there are 5 different generations in the workforce and a lot more cultural and ethnic diversity than ever before. This means that there are many different ways of thinking, very different work styles, different attitudes about work and higher expectations about the tools and technologies that will help them get their work done. And millennials are forcing changes to the employee-employer relationship. Finally, new technologies like social networking, cloud computing, real-time collaboration, mobile, and machine learning technologies have transformed our personal lives and are now moving into the workplace. This is changing the expectations about how your managers and employees access information, learn new things, connect to coworkers and share ideas, inside and outside your organization. Any time. Anywhere. And perhaps the most significant change that we’re all dealing with is that the work itself and the skills required everyday keep changing – in fact, 47% of today’s jobs won’t even exist in 20 years, and new jobs, requiring new skills will emerge. And all these challenges and changes have to be addressed over and above the day-to-day work of attracting, developing and retaining talent.
  • #7: Slide 2 CLO Business Challenges What is different today is the pace of change, and that has really picked up in the past few years. That means that there is significant pressure to make sure your workforce has the right skills. To keep up, learning programs need to launch quickly and adapt to market conditions. And this comes at a time when 1 in 5 workers is looking around. That presents an immediate challenge to the CLO – getting the new employees productive as quickly as possible, but is there something L&D can do to reduce turnover? There is, learning can play huge role in increasing retention – and employees want to have a challenging and rewarding workplace. A collaborative learning culture can really help engage employees and that leads to improvement in productivity. Finally, another area that seems to always be increasing – regulation! Keeping a lid on risk is still something the CEO looks to the CLO help with, and dealing with certifications and compliance in an efficient, effective manner is critical.
  • #8: Slide 3 – Unified Learning Platform In helping the learning organization meet these challenges, Saba takes a unique approach – we’ve built the industry’s only unified learning platform. Let me briefly describe the platform, and then we’ll talk about how it helps the learning team and of course your learners. We’ve cast a new foundation with Saba Cloud – we’ve taken our leading LMS – its flexible, single catalog for internal and extended enterprise, broad content support and deep integration with learning content tools and combined that with our award winning social and real-time collaboration capabilities. We’ve also added in leading testing and assessments capabilities, recoding the key parts of the Comertis and Pedagogue acquisitions into the platform. We’ve built coaching and development tools – so managers can help their teams succeed. In addition, to helping manager, the intelligence in the system will actually help learners find the courses, content and mentors they need to do their jobs. Working across the entire platform, there is one set of analytics data, and data driving assignments and decisions is immediately available. We’ve built apps for the Android and Apple phones and tablets so your learners could complete their learning activities, including virtual classroom session, where and when it’s convenient for them. So rather than worrying about making disparate products from 3 or 4 vendors work together, you can focus on learning aspects of the programs. But it’s much more than that.
  • #9: Slide 4 – Better Learning Outcomes, Better Business Results With all the pieces in one place, you can address skill gaps, onboarding, leadership development, compliance (sales training, extended enterprise) -- just about any learning need by quickly and easily creating effective, global learning programs. With the constantly changing business environment, you do want to lose time making and keeping all the parts working together.
