Massachusetts has a fantastic overview of third party tools, covering lots of different areas of concern like accessibility and privacy, and also shows how tools align with the SAMR Model (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition) and suggests learning activites the tools are suitable for.
• #12: Our first area considers whether we already have a tool we DO support that does something similar, and asks why staff may prefer a similar tool compared with one we DO actually support.

I wanted to make it as simple as possible for staff, so they didn’t feel they had to check where data was storred, or read the licence agreements in full (who does?) but by saying only use it if you don’t have to submit information like your name and email address may be too restrictive to be practical?
