1) Evergreen is an open source library management system that was started in 2004 and designed to be robust, scalable, and secure. 2) It is currently used by over 450 libraries worldwide, including the Georgia Public Library Service which has over 275 branches. 3) Evergreen continues to evolve and grow, adding new capabilities like acquisitions and serials management, and supporting more libraries and library types around the world.
