This paper presents the design and performance evaluation of a balanced voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) for 5G wireless communication systems, utilizing PHEMT technology. The VCO operates in the 28 GHz range, achieving high output power of 9 dBm, low phase noise of -113.155 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset, and a compact layout area of 0.515 mm². Simulation results demonstrate a tuning range of 2.44 GHz and a figure of merit of -181.06 dBc/Hz, indicating its suitability for high-frequency applications.
